On Friday, March 4, 2016, Zentech Incorporated had a unique opportunity to work with the Houston Police Department’s Elite SWAT (Special Weapons And Tactics) Team. Aboard Zentech’s Zee Rig 1, a Single Water Plane Twin Hull vessel, in the Houston Ship Channel, the SWAT Team conducted live training and boarded the vessel ‘held hostage’ by ‘terrorists’ from air and sea, regaining control of the vessel and saving lives.
Since its inception, Zentech has always had a strong vision of contributing to the Houston community. In a day and age where terrorism effecting Houston is a real possibility, it is with trainings like this that will have the Houston Police Department ready for any situation.
Zentech would like to send a ‘Thank You’ to the Houston Police Department SWAT Team for the opportunity to work with them; and, look forward to additional opportunities to work with them in the future, with additional vessels in their fleet. Zentech would like to also thank: Priority One Tactical Rescue, Southwest Shipyard, and the Houston Ship Channel Security District.
